Selected Experience In Water Improvements

Water System Improvements
Siletz, Oregon

Design and construction administration of a $2.8 million water system improvement project. Improvements included a new 350 gpm water treatment plant, a 500,000-gallon reservoir with a new raw water intake system, and installation of 15,500 lineal feet (LF) of 12-inch, 8-inch and 6-inch distribution piping.

High Level Pump Station Replacement
Coos Bay-North Bend Water Board

This project included a Master Plan Update followed by the design and construction of the High Level Pump Station replacement. The new pump station included two 75 hp horizontal split-case pumps, standby generation, special security measures, SCADA controls and 700 LF of new 18-inch ductile iron water main.

Water System Improvements
Drain, Oregon

This multi-phase project totaled over $3.2 million. Piping installations included approximately 9,000 LF of 24-inch ductile iron and 650 LF of 12-inch ductile iron. Additionally, 18,000 LF of 2-inch PVC treated water transmission line and 1-inch PVC service lines (with fittings and all appurtenances). Other modifications include the installation of a new 290,000-gallon glass-fused-to-steel water tank, refurbishment of an existing 750,000-gallon welded steel tank, and upgrades to the water treatment plant.

Water System Improvements/Pump Station Project
Seal Rock, Oregon

Installation of approximately 35,000 LF of 6-, 8-, and 12-inch diameter water mains along U.S. Highway 101 and Lincoln County right-of-way. Improvements included ten bored highway crossings (6-, 8-, and 12-inch diameter water mains), installation of pipeline bridge restraints, and construction of two booster pump stations.

Rink Creek Raw Water Main Project
Coquille, Oregon

For this project, approximately 16,000 feet of 14-inch diameter PVC water main was installed to replace the City's existing main from the Rink Creek Reservoir to the water treatment plant. Improvements included a surge control valve for pressure relief, installation of new roadway with 48-inch and 60-inch diameter culverts for stream crossings, removal and replacement of the screen assembly and eight 10-inch diameter sluice gates at the reservoir intake structure.

Water Treatment Plant Upgrade
Myrtle Point, Oregon

Rehabilitation and refurbishment of treatment plant including complete reconstruction of filters, backwash system, valves, controls, and other improvements. Installation of air/water scour backwash system; updates of all system components to modern standards. Installation of all new instrumentation and automated control system to produce up to 1.2 MGD.

Water System Improvements
Southwest Lincoln County Water District

This project provided two new water treatment plants (0.5 MGD and 0.3 MGD), three new storage reservoirs, two booster pump stations, and a major upgrade to the distribution system. A SCADA system was installed to allow for monitoring and control of the treatment plants, reservoirs, and booster pump stations. In addition, this SCADA system provides flow control from three separate raw water sources that serve the 0.5 MGD treatment plant. Both treatment plants are located on US Forest Service land and required a stringent permit process.
